Construction officially began as work started to prepare the alley for its transformation. Repaving and site improvements laid the foundation for the artwork and future amenities.

The mural artists visited Sheridan to study the site, refine design details, and prepare for installation. Their visit marked the transition from planning to implementation.

Residents were invited to share their thoughts and ideas through a public survey, helping ensure the project reflected our community.

More than 100 individuals, families, businesses, and organizations came together to make the Art Alley possible. This milestone recognizes how the community members' investments will transform an everyday alley into a destination!

The OneZone Chamber of Commerce contributed $5,500 to help bring the Art Alley to life! Their investment will help strengthen our community by attracting visitors to our town.

Sheridan Main Street announced that the Art Alley campaign had raised $79,305, far surpassing its original fundraising goal. The incredible response from the community unlocked matching grant funding and demonstrated an overwhelming enthusiasm for bringing public art to downtown Sheridan.

Support from Hamilton County Tourism awarded grant funding to help move the project forward! The regional investment in Sheridan's growing downtown destination is appreciated.

Volunteers reached out to residents and business owners to share the vision for the Art Alley, answer questions, and encourage community participation in the project.

Sheridan Main Street unveiled its plans for the Art Alley, highlighting the proposed mural, public gathering spaces, and the collaborative effort to strengthen downtown Sheridan through public art.

Students from the Basile Center met with the Art Alley steering committee and toured the alley to better understand the space, gather inspiration, and begin developing ideas for the mural.

The community fundraising campaign officially launched through Patronicity, inviting the community to bring the Art Alley to life through public donations!

The Herron School of Art and Design's Basile Center joined us to begin imagining how public art could transform an ordinary alley into a community destination.

A steering committee was formed for the alleyway project. Members include: Melinda Spear-Huff, Jennifer Miller, Nancy Boone, and Cindy Keever.
